Quick Start

Mount to a tripod.
Place the line so it touches the sensor.
Power on and select a mode.

Device Overview

Sensor

: The line touches the sensor; it detects vibrations on the line.

Sound On / Off

: Turns the sound alarm on/off (Silent Mode)

Power On / Off

: Turns the device on/off. Starts with the last used settings.

Mode Button

: Changes the operating mode.

0 (Manual): Smart is off; the device beeps on every detected vibration.

1 (Smart): Alarm triggers only when a fish bite is detected.

2–5 (Smart): Higher levels make the detection more selective; false alarms caused by waves, wind, or minor vibrations are reduced, focusing on real bites.

UDM: User Defined Mode, a custom mode you create and configure in the app.

Mode Indicator

: Shows the current mode. Flashes during a fish-bite alarm along with the audible alert.

Mount Screw

: Standard 3/8" mounting thread; fits most tripods.

Snag Ear Mount

: Mounting point for removable Snag Ears; helps prevent the rod from slipping out of the alarm.

Battery LED

: The red Battery LED indicates battery/charging status: Solid on when charge is sufficient. Starts flashing ~5 min before the battery runs out. Flashes while charging. Solid on again when fully charged.

USB-C Charging

: USB-C (Type-C) charging port. Connect a USB-C cable here to charge the built-in battery.

Battery

: Built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery. The battery is not user replaceable and requires no routine maintenance. Battery life depends on temperature and usage; under normal conditions it supports up to ~1000 charge cycles. Runtime may decrease over time; if it becomes noticeably shorter, contact support.

Mobile App (WiserFisher Bite Alarm): The device can be configured and managed in detail via the WiserFisher mobile app. The app lets you select audible alarm / silent operation, toggle phone vibration, change the operating mode, and customize the phone alarm sound. You can also select/change the Manual Mode beep. With UDM (User Defined Mode), detection behavior can be personalized by tuning sensitivity and filtering allowing you to create an optimal profile for your weather conditions (wind/waves) and your target species / fishing style.

Safety & Handling Warnings

Water: Rain/splash resistant; do not immerse. If heavily wet, switch off and dry fully.
Shock/Heat: Avoid drops, crushing force, deformation, and prolonged extreme heat/cold.
Charging: Use a standard USB-C (Type-C) cable and a 5V USB power adapter (not included). Do not strain the connector.
Storage: Turn off when not in use; store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Use: Keep away from children; do not use if the enclosure is cracked or damaged.

Warranty coverage may be affected by:

Opening/disassembling the device or unauthorized repair attempts.
Physical damage from drops, crushing force, or deformation.
Liquid ingress due to submersion or improper drying after heavy exposure.
Use of chemicals/sprays (solvents, lubricants, cleaners) on the device.
Damage caused by improper charging equipment or excessive connector strain.
Any modification to the product or its electronics.
